Christian Community Ministries (CCM)

Christian Community Ministries (CCM) is a Kershaw County organization which offers financial assistance, food pantry, personal budgeting and other types of instructive assistance to those in crisis situations. Consisting of volunteers and members from different local churches, CCM receives funds and volunteers from Grace Church and from other churches.

Relief Committee

The Relief Committee is the arm of the Outreach committee which helps those from the Camden/Kershaw County community with solutions not easily met by other agencies such as CCM. They often provide emergency medicine, rent or food in extreme situations such as home fires.

The Pastoral Care Committee

The Pastoral Care Committee, through the Neighborhood Shepherds and the Prayer Chain, meets the needs of the parish and serves as an extended church family for parishioners, giving emotional support, friendship, and transportation to our parishioners.

The Shepherding Group

The Shepherding Group serves our parish through the providing of food, support and visitations to the sick, shut-in and others in need.

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is an active group of volunteers that communicate with others to make prayer requests known.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of people who volunteer to make and pray over blankets and shawls for those in need of comforting from illnesses, misfortune, grief, loneliness, occasions of praise, and any other need, while mindfully praying for each recipient. These completed pieces are then presented in hopes the recipient will feel God's constant grace and love in each prayer entwined in every strand of yarn.

Epiphany

Epiphany is an ecumenical Christian ministry for young men and women from the ages of 13 and 18 who are in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). It is a three-day retreat and teaching weekend that provides follow-up and continued support through monthly Reunions. Epiphany is modeled on other three-day weekends such as Happening, Cursillo, and Kairos. Seven weekends are held each year: four for young men at the DJJ facilities on Broad River Road in Columbia, SC, and three for the young women at the DJJ facilities in Greenwood, SC. Several parishioners have been active in this ministry by serving on staff for Epiphany weekends.
